Terms of service

These terms apply to animatedsignature.com and to the signatures, banners and campaigns you build with it. Using the service means agreeing to them. If something here does not work for you, write to hello@animatedsignature.com before you sign up.

What the service does

We give you a builder that produces an email signature, the images it needs, and instructions for pasting it into your mail client. Once you paste that signature into your own email, the sending is yours: we are not an email provider and we do not send your mail.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Sign-in is by a code or link sent to your email address, or with Google, so keep that address secure. One account is for one person; teams and shared signatures are not part of the product yet.

The trial and paying

New accounts get a free month and no card is taken for it. Paid plans are not open yet. When they are, the price and what it includes will be shown to you before anything is charged, and nothing will be taken from you without you choosing it.

Your content stays yours

Your photo, logo, text and campaigns remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to serve them, which is what lets your signature appear in somebody else's inbox, and nothing more. We do not use your images or your details to promote anything other than your own signature.

What you must not do

• Upload anything you do not have the right to use, including photographs and logos that are not yours.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Use a signature or a campaign banner in unsolicited bulk email, or in anything unlawful, deceptive or abusive.
• Point a tracked link or a campaign at malware, fraud or content that breaks the law.
• Attempt to break, overload or reverse the service, or to reach data that is not yours.

Whatever you send with your signature is your responsibility, including that your own email complies with marketing and privacy law where your recipients are.

Tracking, and what you tell your recipients

Link tracking counts clicks on your signature's links and is on unless you switch it off on your dashboard. No opens are tracked and no pixel is added. Where the law where you or your recipients are requires you to disclose click tracking, that disclosure is yours to make.

Availability

We work to keep the service up and the images your signature depends on being served, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime yet, and we may change or withdraw features as the product develops. If we make a change that removes something you rely on, we will tell you by email.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, and everything of yours goes with it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why when we do. Signatures already pasted into a mail client will keep their layout but will stop loading images once yours are deleted.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top. A material change will be sent to you by email before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
