Install guide: other mail clients
Add an animated signature in any mail client.
Thunderbird, Yahoo Mail, Proton Mail, Zoho Mail and most others take the signature the same way: a rich text box to paste into, or an HTML box for the code. Here is the shape the steps take, and where four common clients keep the setting.

The short answer
How do you add an animated signature in another mail client?
Copy the signature, find the client's signature setting, usually under Settings, Preferences or Options, then Mail, Composing or Identity, and paste it into the box. If the client only takes HTML source, as Thunderbird does with Use HTML ticked, paste the signature's code instead. Then make it the default for new messages and replies, and save.
Step by step
Five steps, in any client.
Almost every mail client follows the same shape.
Copy your signature
In Animated Signature, press Copy signature. It goes onto your clipboard as formatted content, images, colours and layout included, rather than as code.
Find the signature setting
Look under Settings, Preferences or Options, then Mail, Composing or Identity. Nearly every client keeps signatures within one of those.
Paste into a rich text box
If the editor has formatting buttons (bold, italic, a link icon), paste straight in with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.
If it only offers an HTML box, copy the code instead
Some clients ask for HTML source rather than giving you an editor. On the Install page, Copy the code puts the signature's HTML on your clipboard; paste that into the box.
Set it as the default and save
Point the client at your new signature for both new messages and replies, then save.
Where the setting is
Four clients, four places.
Read off each client's own help, which is linked, because menus move.
Thunderbird
In Account Settings, choose the account, tick Use HTML, and paste the signature's code into the signature text box. Or save the code as a file and attach the signature from that file instead. Each account has its own signature.
Thunderbird's own helpYahoo Mail
Open Settings from the More options icon, choose Writing email, switch on the toggle beside the address you send from, and paste the signature into the box.
Yahoo's own helpProton Mail
Sign in at account.proton.me, open Settings, then All settings, then Identity and addresses, and scroll to Display name and signature. Paste the signature into the field and click Update.
Proton's own helpZoho Mail
Open Settings, then Signatures, and click + to add one. Paste the signature, or use Insert HTML for the code, link it to your From address, and save. Replies get it only once Add signature to all my email replies is ticked.
Zoho's own helpOn your phone
Most phone apps keep plain text only.
Most mobile mail apps can't hold a formatted signature, but there is a way round it.
Why this can't be done in the app
Their signature setting stores plain text only. Pasting a signature into it keeps the words and throws away the photo, the logo, the colours and the links. There is no setting that changes this.
Set it on desktop first
Follow the desktop steps on a computer. Mail you send from a desktop or the web will carry the full signature.
Or send from the web on your phone
Open the web version of your mail in your phone's browser rather than the app. The web version uses the same signature you installed on desktop, formatting intact.
Questions
Questions about other clients
My mail client asks for HTML. Where do I get it?
On the Install page, Copy the code puts your signature's HTML on your clipboard. It is the same signature, as table markup with its images hosted for you, so paste it into the client's HTML box as it is.
Will people see the images in my signature?
In most clients, yes. Some show images only to readers who allow remote content, as Proton Mail says of signature images. The name, the details and the links are text, so the signature reads either way.
Why is there no signature on my replies?
Some clients treat replies separately. Zoho Mail, for one, adds no signature to replies until you tick Add signature to all my email replies. Look for a reply setting beside the signature.
